Payments start on June 4. PLN 4,134 regardless of income, monthly transfers

Already on June 4, eligible persons will receive a monthly support benefit, which can range from PLN 751 to even PLN 4,134. The granting of this assistance is not dependent on the amount of income.

• In 2025, the number of people eligible to receive support benefits will increase, which means wider access to this form of financial assistance for people with disabilities.
• From 1 March 2025, the support benefit ranges from PLN 751 to a maximum of PLN 4,134 per month, depending on the level of support need specified in the decision. The next date for payment of the support benefit is 4 June.
• Benefit applications are processed by ZUS, and funds are transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts on fixed dates: including the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th and 22nd of each month.

From 1 January 2025, the support benefit is available to a wider group of disabled people with successive levels of support need. The support benefit is being introduced in three stages, starting in 2024:

• Stage I – from 1 January 2024 – support benefit available to people with disabilities with the highest levels of support need, i.e. from 87 to 100 points
• Stage II – from 1 January 2025 – support benefit also available for people with disabilities with subsequent levels of support need, i.e. from 78 to 86 points
• Stage III – from 1 January 2026 – the support benefit will also be available to people with disabilities with other eligible levels of support need, i.e. from 70 to 77 points.

With the indexation of the social pension on 1 March 2025, the support benefit for adults with disabilities also increased.

• Until 28 February 2025, the social pension was PLN 1,780.96. The support benefit was a maximum of PLN 3,920 and a minimum of PLN 712.
• From 1 March 2025, the social pension is PLN 1,878.91, which has translated into an increase in the amount of the support benefit. Now it is a maximum of PLN 4,133.60, and a minimum of PLN 751.56 .

How much money will people with lower levels of support who became eligible for the support benefit on 1 January 2025 receive each month?

• At a level of 78 and 79 points, the payment will amount to 60% of the social pension - i.e. from March 1, it is PLN 1,126 per month.
• With a need for support at the level of 85 and 86 points, this is 120% of the social pension, i.e. from 1 March the amount of PLN 2,253.6 per month.

• The support benefit is available to a person with disabilities aged 18 or over who has a decision establishing the level of support need, in which the need for support was determined at a level of 70 to 100 points, issued under the modified disability assessment system, based on the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons.
• The benefit is provided regardless of the income earned by the disabled person or their family members and without any restrictions on professional activity or receipt of pension benefits.
• They are awarded and paid by the Social Insurance Institution. However, in order for a disabled person to receive the benefit, they must first obtain a decision from the provincial team for disability assessment (WZON) to determine the level of support needed.
• The amount of the support benefit is linked to the amount of the social pension and ranges from 40% to 220% of the social pension - depending on the level of support need, i.e. the number of points awarded in the decision issued by the provincial team for disability assessment.
• From 1 March 2025, the social pension amounts to PLN 1,878.91. This means that the support benefit is a maximum of PLN 4,133.60, and the minimum is PLN 751.56. Along with the annual indexation of the social pension, the amount of the support benefit is also subject to annual indexation.
• Payment of the granted support benefit is made exclusively in non-cash form, to the bank account indicated in the application.
• Money is paid monthly, on the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th and 22nd of each month.
• The support benefit is generally available from the month of submitting the application for it – for the duration of the validity of the decision determining the level of need for support, i.e. until the end of the month in which the validity period of that decision expires.

Support benefit payments depend on the level of support need and amount to:

• 95-100 points - 220% of social pension;
• 90-94 points - 180% of the pension,
• 85-89 points - 120% of the pension,
• 80-84 points - 80 percent of the pension,
• 75-79 points - 60 percent of the pension,
• 70-74 points - 40 percent of the pension.

According to data from the Social Insurance Institution, the number of people who were paid support benefits from January to November 2024 was 70.4 thousand, and the amount of payments was PLN 2.231 billion.
