The 2025/2026 school year is full of new things. Big changes in holidays, religion, and health education.
Health education will replace family life education from September 1, 2025. Classes will address all aspects of human health at various stages of life. They will include topics such as values and attitudes, physical health, physical activity, nutrition, mental health, sexual health, internet and addiction prevention, adolescence, and the healthcare system.
The topic of sexual health has sparked controversy and protests from some in the community. Ultimately, this subject will be optional, and parents have until September 25th to opt out of their child's participation. The subject will be introduced in grades 4-8 of primary school and 1-3 in secondary schools. Classes will be held for one hour per week.
Holidays 2026. What will change? The topic of the 2026 winter break is very popular online. Interest in the break began to grow during the summer holidays and is growing daily.
