Wadim Tyszkiewicz bids farewell to public life. This is his reaction to the election results

Wadim Tyszkiewicz was the president of Nowa Sól (Lubuskie Province) in 2002-2019. In 2019 and 2023, he won a senator's mandate. Now, however, as he announces, he wants to withdraw from public life. He announced his decision on social media.
My social media activity has ended indefinitely. My public activity will be limited to parliamentary work for only 2 more years and then it's over. My vision of a modern, European, self-governing, people-friendly Poland has lost to the brown vision, to populism, lies and hatred. See you someday, maybe in a different, better world.
It's not my time.

In an emotional post, he explains that this was decided "first and foremost by men and young people who chose the experiment". He also writes that he was considered a "citizen of a lower class, not a Pole" and was ordered to ... (vulgarism here).
Vadim Tyszkiewicz writes:
Now it's time for others, for other goals, for other ideas, for another, new Poland, far from my dreams. This is what the Nation has decided. I'm not saying see you later. I'm saying goodbye. I send you my warmest regards and thank you for being with me all these years.
