- We perceive the very strong words of Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the depoliticization and changing the role of the Ministry of Health to a more professional one as a good signal - Dr. Marek Tomków , president of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Council, told Rynek Zdrowia, emphasizing that the pharmacists' self-government is counting on positive cooperation with the new Minister of Health, Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda.
"We represent a community of pharmacists numbering several tens of thousands, serving approximately 2 million patients daily. Given the Minister's experience in effectively managing hospitals in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, we expect that the potential of the pharmacist community will be further leveraged," he added.
According to the president of the NRA, the fact that the new minister is not directly linked to any medical or political environment allows us to believe that future cooperation will be based solely on competence and effectiveness.
"Our expectations are primarily focused on improving the situation for patients, which was clearly emphasized in the Prime Minister's speech. We hope for a meeting as soon as possible, as there are so many issues we would like to discuss," concludes Marek Tomków.
Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda is a lawyer with an MBA for medical staff and the president of Szpitale Pomorskie, a company managing four hospital entities owned by the local government of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The Prime Minister said that she had introduced "law and order with a strong hand" in hospitals in Pomerania.
