Studies have shown that adding a probiotic is beneficial for patients taking, for example, antidepressants and metformin. It can reduce the frequency of gastrointestinal disorders caused by metformin administration - says Prof. Karolina Skonieczna-Żydecka, researcher, vice-dean for scientific affairs at the Faculty of Health Sciences, PUM.
