Dawid Podsiadło started the concert by asking about... Iga Świątek. This is how the fans reacted.

Iga Świątek delighted millions of fans on Saturday! The Polish player defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in less than an hour in the Wimbledon final. This was the sixth Grand Slam trophy of her career. In 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024, she won the French Open, and in 2022, she added a victory at the US Open. Świątek received the coveted trophy, won on the London courts, from Duchess Kate, patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Dawid Podsiadło did it again! What a words about Iga Świątek after winning Wimbledon!

Many celebrities congratulated the Polish star on her success. At the Zorza Festival in Warsaw, the topic of Iga Świątek's triumph also came up. Before the concert, a message about the tennis player was displayed on large screens. "Hey, hey, hey. Iga won Wimbledon. What a move! Let's all make some noise!" was the request to the event attendees.

When Dawid Podsiadło appeared on stage, he mentioned Świątek. "Iga won?" he asked, and the audience responded with cheers and applause. "I know, I know... Cool," the singer said. "Just one more Grand Slam and we'll have them all," he concluded with joy. (Iga Świątek still needs to win the Australian Open.)

You can watch the whole situation below:

As a reminder, Dawid Podsiadło has often expressed sympathy for Iga Świątek and congratulated her on her successes. In June 2022, shortly after the Polish tennis player won her second Roland Garros, Podsiadło and Taco Hemingway slightly reworked the song "Tamagotchi" during a concert in Gdańsk.

At the end, instead of "Drink, eat, sleep, like a Tamagotchi," they sang "Drink, eat, play, like Iga Świątek," which the audience definitely enjoyed. The tennis player herself couldn't hide her delight. "Wonderful, thank you!" she wrote on the X portal.

When Iga Świątek won her fourth French Open in 2024, Dawid Posiadło addressed the tennis player from the stage during a concert in Wrocław. "We love you, Iga, you're the best in the world," he declared, to which the audience responded with applause and cheers.

It's worth noting that Podsiadło had the opportunity to watch Świątek at the Olympic Games in Paris, where he was a Eurosport representative. At one of the matches, he appeared in a unique T-shirt featuring the tennis player's image and the words "Poland Garros."
