Fans won't soon forget these clashes! Highlights of Legia Warsaw's European Cup matches

In the 2023/24 season, Legia finished third in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa and began their UEFA competition campaign immediately in the Conference League - in the second qualifying round, they won against Caernarfon Town from Wales 6-0 and 5-0. In the third round, after a close two-legged tie, they eliminated Brondby Copenhagen (3-2, 1-1), and in the decisive stage, they defeated Drita Gnjilane from Kosovo 2-0 and 1-0.
Legia started the league with four victories, defeating Real Betis 1-0, TSC Backa Topola 3-0, Dynamo Minsk 4-0, and Omonia Nicosia 3-0. Towards the end of the year, coach Goncalo Feio's team suffered a setback, losing to Swiss side FC Lugano 1-2 and Swedish side Djurgarden IF 1-3. Ultimately, 12 points were enough for seventh place and direct promotion to the round of 16.
In this phase, the Warsaw team fought a fierce and exciting match against Molde FK. They lost 3-2 in Norway, even though it was already 3-0, but they made up for the loss at home, winning 2-0 after extra time.
Their reward was a match against Chelsea, considered the favorites to win the competition. The Legionnaires began the prestigious competition with a 3-0 home defeat, but in England they secured a 2-1 victory, which, however, failed to reverse the two-legged tie. It was, however, the first-ever victory in European competition in England by a Polish team.
