Świt's losing streak continues. The second-division Szczecin team suffered its third consecutive defeat in Sosnowiec on Friday.

Zagłębie won for the first time this season in front of their home crowd. It was the second consecutive victory for coach Wojciech Łobodziński, who replaced Marek Gołębiewski at Zagłębie on September 8th. He began his tenure with a 2-1 victory over Rekord in Bielsko-Biała, and on Friday he defeated Świt.

The hosts forced Świt into a defensive situation from the outset. The Sosnowiec team played a well-organized attack. In the 15th minute, Skóra's volley was barely cleared by Rajczykowski for a corner. Świt waited for their chance until the 18th minute, when Kabała saved Nowak's shot. In the 27th minute, it should have been 1-0 to the hosts. Gogoła, in a quick move, delivered a powerful shot, but it went straight at the goalkeeper. In the 35th minute, the Świt keeper failed to catch the cross, but Matras couldn't reach the ball. Before the break, the active Ronnberg had another chance, hitting the post.

Even at the start of the second half, Raczykowski saved Świt from conceding a goal, but in the final quarter of an hour, the goalmouth collapsed. First, Szykawka headed the ball into the net after a corner kick. A minute later, Skóra surprised Rajczyk with a shot from outside the penalty area. Świt, however, lacked effectiveness and couldn't find a shot on target. In the final play of the match, Snopczyński made it 3-0.
