Football. Pogoń Szczecin on vacation

The players of Pogoń Szczecin, after an exhausting season in which they did more than could have been expected of them (because they were broken and sold out by the previous authorities), but were unable to win the right to play in European cups (neither in the league nor in the Polish Cup, which, considering the practical lack of a reserve bench, was only a pipe dream of the most optimistic fans), are currently on well-deserved short holidays, and the new club officials are starting a transfer window that will verify their bold declarations, and the fans are watching all this closely...
In mid-June, Pogoń players will begin preparations for the new season, and on June 23, the team will go to Opalenica, well-known to porters, for a training camp. After the last match of the season, which ended with a "lost draw" with Jagiellonia in Białystok, the players of the Pride of Pomerania went on vacation. The first of the Szczecin players will return to Twardowskiego on June 17. At that time, two days of medical examinations and tests (and perhaps also the first training session) have been planned for a group of younger and potential new players. The entire team will have their first training session on the pitch on June 19. A few days later, on June 23, the navy blue and burgundy players will set off for the traditional 10-day training camp in Opalenica. After returning, the team will continue working on the new season at their own facilities, and there will also be several test games with as yet undetermined opponents. The matches of the first round of the 2025/26 Ekstraklasa season will take place on the weekend of July 18-21.
We hope that in the new season the Pogoń squad will be strengthened and will consist of at least 20 players, as is the case with normal league clubs, and not 12-13 players, as was the case recently on Twardowskiego. Pogoń has great potential in terms of fans, supporters and sponsors, which is confirmed by the "Business Pride of Pomerania" project, and the slogan: "Szczecin is my city, Pogoń is my life!" opens many doors in the town of Gryf. In the recently ended season, fans travelled to all away matches of the navy blue and burgundy, and in great numbers, and at the Florian Krygier stadium there were often no tickets left for the more attractive matches. Szczecin fans are very active and have shown more than once that not only sport is important to them, but also, and perhaps above all, the fate of the city and the country. We have seen patriotic accents in the stands more than once, and the youngest fans often learned more about the cursed soldiers at matches than at school... You may not identify with all the ultras' behaviors, but you have to respect that they are expressive and do not change their views, no matter how the wind blows. Recently, at almost all league stadiums, including Twardowskiego, we have observed a nationwide campaign of fans related to the elections, and interestingly, the scarf-wearers did not encourage who to vote for, but warned on banners who... not to vote for! We also saw a similar message in the stands of the 2nd league Świt, but there were no banners there, only chanting from the entire sector.
In life, sports intertwine with politics, so let's notice that the increasing number of bookmaking companies, both stationary and online, offer not only match results, but also, for example, election results. Before the first round of the presidential election in our country, the bookmakers' clear favorite was Rafał Trzaskowski, but later the ratings changed drastically...
