Coach Jacek Nawrocki's players began their U19 World Championship campaign with thrilling matches against demanding opponents. In their first match, they defeated Italy 3-2 (20-18 in the tie-break), and in the second, they lost 2-3 to Iran (13-15 in the tie-break). The Spaniards recorded two victories – 3-2 against Iran and 3-1 against Egypt.
The U19 World Championship takes place in Uzbekistan from July 24 to August 3. The tournament features 24 teams, divided into four groups of six.
In the next Group C matches, Poland will face Tunisia (July 28) and Egypt (July 29). The top four teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will begin with the quarterfinals.
