The Polish national team, seeded 9th, started this year's tournament well and in their first match they defeated, although not without problems, South Africa (Cameron Carolissen and Devon Petersen) 4:3. A day later, in the afternoon session, the South African darts players faced Norway (Cor Dekker and Kent Joran Sivertsen) and won 4:1.

Thus, it became clear that the Scandinavians have no chance of advancing before the final match with the Poles, and Ratajski and Szagański, in order to fight their way to the knockout stage and overtake the African team, must defeat Dekker and Sivertsen. However, it turned out differently. Our duo unexpectedly lost 2:4, ending the competition in second place in the group.

In the fifth leg, with the score 2:2, the Norwegians showed off a checkout equal to 80 points, after which they took the lead.
