Squash. The last round of a record-breaking season

The last round of the season of the Toyota Szczecin Squash League is always a big event in the squash community. Players from Koszalin, Kołobrzeg and Neubrandenburg came to the capital of Western Pomerania for this occasion. A total of 99 people played in the Squash Zone Club during the weekend, and thanks to another group of debutants, the total number of league participants increased to 226 people this season, which is a new national record.
In the top league, Beniamin Morzyca made a sensational performance, debuting at this level of competition. Representing Hugonacademy junior, he lost only two matches and took the last place on the podium. Marcin Smuniewski and Piotr Chomicki finished in the first positions. The aforementioned players belonged to the second part of this season - both have won four rounds of Toyota SLS since January. On Saturday, the first one was unbeatable, demonstrating iron fitness and great determination.
In the second group, Michał Rutkowski and Łukasz Niedbała went from victory to victory, and it was their direct clash that was the most interesting match of this group. After a decisive, dramatic tie-break, Rutkowski came out of the duel with the shield. Paweł Sawicki came third.
The third group was played under the dictation of the favorites. Paweł Zarzeczny did not find a conqueror on Saturday, although he got out of serious trouble twice. In the matches with the second in the ranking Michał Kmiecik and Rafał Trawiński he recorded victories 17:15. Przemysław Gac finished this group in third place.
