Surprising news regarding the Polish national team coach. A bizarre situation at the Polish Football Association.

In recent days, it seemed that Jan Urban's candidacy to succeed Michał Probierz would be the most certain candidate in the context of the elections for the new coach, organized by president Cezary Kulesza. However, it turns out that the Polish Football Association is currently negotiating with other candidates. Moreover, as is often the case, they happen to run into each other by pure chance in the federation's corridors.
The Polish Football Association (PZPN) still hasn't made a decision regarding the Polish national team coach. It's a bizarre situation. As a reminder, on Wednesday evening, journalists from "Super Express" reported that two well-known coaches who could soon become the new head coach had appeared at the Polish Football Association's Warsaw headquarters. Interestingly, however, it was neither Jan Urban (who is on vacation in Spain), nor Adam Nawałka, nor Marek Papszun.
Photos published on the newspaper's website show Jerzy Brzęczek and Jacek Magiera. They were also considered for the race, but they were likely to finish lower, judging by the so-called public sentiment.
"No binding decisions or declarations have been made. Kulesza has left both coaches in limbo, without a specific answer as to which option he prefers. The president is giving himself some time to decide. As we hear, a funny situation occurred inside the building. Magiera and Brzęczek accidentally bumped into each other at the headquarters of the Polish Football Association. The coaches, who have great respect for each other, were very surprised by this – so much so that they burst out laughing at the same time," reads the latest reports from WP/SportoweFakty.
Another rather bizarre scene, illustrating the scale of the absurdity at hand. On the one hand, the Polish Football Association (PZPN) has the right to question potential candidates in order to make the right choice, in the opinion of the federation and its president.
On the other hand, the Polish media daily reports information that certainly doesn't reflect a high level of professionalism regarding decisions regarding one of the most important positions in national sport. From a merry-go-round of names, through contradictions of one's own preferences (the case of Maciej Skorża), to a meeting of two candidates... at the same time and place.
When should we expect final decisions regarding the new Polish national team manager? It seems that a Tuesday/Wednesday deadline, the week of the start of the new PKO BP Ekstraklasa season (July 15-16), is becoming increasingly likely.
