This match had it all! Seven goals, trouble for the Polish champions.
After a defeat to start the season, Lech Poznań went into the match against Lechia Gdańsk with the clear goal of securing three points. After the first half, it seemed like it would be a difficult task. Lech Poznań missed a penalty and, although they weren't passive in creating chances, they were decidedly lacking in effectiveness.
The hosts, however, were not idle, going into the break with the score 2-0, with Thomas Bobcek scoring twice.
Lech significantly improved in the second half, scoring goal after goal. They took a 4-2 lead, but it was Lechia's players who had the final say. Ultimately, Poznań emerged unscathed, claiming their first league victory of the season.
