Polish Village Inspired by Van Gogh. It's Full of Sunflowers and Murals

You won't find an amusement park, modern restaurants or swimming pools with beaches there, but you will still have a great time both during a weekend and a short bike trip. The village of Brzózki, because that's what we're talking about, provides peace, green landscapes and good art. Murals presenting the works of Vincent van Gogh await tourists there.

One of his most recognizable paintings is "Sunflowers". Most people are also familiar with works such as "Starry Night" or "Wheat Field with Crows". It is these works of the artist that we will see on the walls of houses in Brzózki.
The murals are so faithful to Van Gogh's paintings that they immediately draw the attention of tourists. The place attracts fans of art, vivid colors and nature. When in Brzózki, you absolutely must take a walk along the trail of these paintings. Along the way, you will find everything that is inspired by this painter - there are 9 murals in total.

The one called “Van Gogh’s Room from Arles” is unique among all of them. It may seem a bit out of place with the others, but if you take a closer look, you will notice that it fits in perfectly with the motifs of the village. It is worth remembering that the author of the works available there is a Pole, Grzegorz Ilski, owner of Art Open Studio from Łódź, and the first mural was created there in 2016.
It ends with the murals in Brzózki. This village is also rich in artistic chapels - there are as many as 15 of them and wooden sculptures - all referring to the old customs of this place. We will see, among others, the figure of a musician or a hunter. In addition, in the summer, yellow sunflowers grow everywhere, which create a truly phenomenal atmosphere. One thing is for sure, walking around Brzózki, you will definitely not be bored, and the tour will be quiet and peaceful. It is worth mentioning that despite these attractions, there are usually no crowds there. Additional attractions in the village include two evangelical cemeteries.
You can get to Brzózki quickly from Bydgoszcz – it's only 23 km. You can take the train to this city, and then bike or use public transport to get to the village. Due to the lack of direct connections, the most convenient way may be to travel by car.
