In Germany as in NorwayRügen is Germany's largest island, located in the Baltic Sea. It's home to the most beautiful white chalk cliffs in the region. Everything looks like something from a fairytale, surrounded by greenery and azure waters. This is perfect for lovers of untamed nature and places with soul. Want your friends to wonder where you've actually gone? Few will guess it's Jasmund.
Jasmund National Park offers a taste of Scandinavian Norway. Although it's actually Germany's smallest national park, it's often considered one of the most beautiful. The UNESCO-listed beech forest is particularly impressive – peaceful and wild. The area boasts numerous hiking and biking trails, and the surrounding views are breathtaking.
Please note that admission to the Königsstuhl lookout point in the park is subject to a fee – currently €12 for adults, and less for children. Alternatively, the free Victoria-Sicht lookout offers stunning views of the cliffs and is about a 10-minute walk from the pay-to-view point.

How to get to the white cliffs of Rügen? You'll be surprised to find that the German island is just 2.5 hours from Świnoujście. You can reach it by land, following a scenic route through the fields. The total distance is approximately 160 km. Train travel is slightly longer, as you'll need to transfer. By train, cycling is a journey of at least 8 hours, as the route includes a ferry crossing.
