There were supposed to be new monuments on the UNESCO list, but there is a resignation. Tourist country in crisis

The world has been hit with news that the country that has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites on its list, and many more that could have been, is now withdrawing from the important organization. This is not the first time Nicaragua has made such a move. Will tourists have anything to look for there?
They are withdrawing from UNESCO membershipAlthough such movements are rarely heard of in well-known countries, in the case of Nicaragua they are becoming more frequent. Recently, it was announced that it was withdrawing from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and ordering the closure of its representative office in the country's capital, Managua. Later, it was time to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and recall representatives from the International Labor Organization ITU.
The country is currently going through a fairly large crisis, which began in 2008 with anti-government demonstrations. It is mainly due to political and social reasons. The organizations that were withdrawn from were accused of, among other things, lacking respect for Nicaragua.
What country is this? Although it may seem foreign to many, it is actually called the hidden gem of Central America. It is located between Honduras in the north and Costa Rica in the south. Nicaragua is also washed by the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the waters of the Caribbean Sea . The Ruins of León Viejo and the Cathedral of León are UNESCO World Heritage Sites there.
Nicaragua is of interest to touristsNicaragua is attracting interest from tourists, but it still has a problem maintaining a satisfactory level. As reported by the Polish Press Agency, the country has seen an increase in tourist traffic of several dozen percent per year. In addition, many of the attractions of this place are appreciated, including lakes and volcanoes.
UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay said in a statement on the UNESCO website that Nicaragua's decision to withdraw from the cultural organization would not have a positive impact on its development. "I regret this decision, which will deprive the people of Nicaragua of the benefits of cooperation, especially in the fields of education and culture. UNESCO fully implements its mandate, defending freedom of speech and freedom of the press throughout the world," she commented.
