Chaves makes its debut with a win in the pre-season
In the first preparation game for the 2025/26 season, GD Chaves, from Liga II, passed the test against the Guimarães B team, which was promoted to Liga 3.
The game took a while to get going, reaching half-time with a goalless draw.
In the second half, Tiago Almeida's goal opened the scoring. The Minho team equalized through Guilherme Paula, but Paulo Vítor sealed the 2-1 final score.
The match took place behind closed doors, at the Engenheiro Manuel Branco Teixeira Municipal Stadium, in Chaves.
On Wednesday, July 16, Desportivo de Chaves visits AD Fafe in the second pre-season game.
