e-Auctions sales volume reached 629.3 million euros in 2024

The online auction platform e-Leilões, developed by the Order of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents (OSAE) ended 2024 with a sales volume of 629.3 million euros, thus consolidating itself as “an essential tool for the proper functioning of Justice and the dynamism of the national economy”.
In a statement, OSAE states that a total of 10,170 auction sessions were held, with 169,150 bids.
The real estate sector closed with a sales volume of 593.5 million euros, making it the most dynamic sector, with high demand. Assets registered growth, reaching 24.8 million euros in sales, with 4,559 bids.
The vehicle market totaled sales worth 8.08 million euros, equipment and machinery reached 2.05 million euros and furniture reached 769 thousand euros.
Anabela Veloso, president of OSAE, says that the numbers are “very positive and capable of demonstrating OSAE’s commitment and investment”.
Created with the aim of promoting and streamlining the sale of seized goods, through electronic auctions, in a more accessible, efficient and transparent process, the president highlights that “we cannot forget what is the great achievement of this platform: with the goods sold at fair values, in light of the current market, the entry into operation of e-Auctions brought about the reinforcement of the protection of the rights and interests of claimants and defendants”.
