Goalkeeper Hamza Alaa signs two-year deal with Portimonense

An under-23 international for his country – he took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games –, the 24-year-old goalkeeper arrives in Portimão with ambition and a desire to make his mark on Portuguese football.
"I'm here to help and I promise to give everything so that Portimonense can achieve its goals," said the goalkeeper, quoted by the Algarve club .
Hamza Alaa, who in recent seasons played for the historic Al Ahly, from his home country, signed a contract valid until June 2027, with an option for another season.
The Egyptian player joins goalkeeper Cibois, defenders Diogo Casimiro and Marlon Júnior, midfielder Samuel Lobato and forwards Mesaque Djú and Diogo Cabral in the list of reinforcements for the Portimão team.
Portimonense, 15th in the 2024/25 edition of the II Liga, heads into its second consecutive season in the second division, under the guidance of coach Tiago Fernandes, who succeeds Ricardo Pessoa.
