High-speed Porto-Vigo connection to be completed in 2032

The high-speed rail link between Porto and Vigo, in Spain, will be completed in 2032, giving the North of Portugal and Galicia “ a unique geostrategic position ”, the Minister of Infrastructure assured this Wednesday.

“ Porto-Vigo [by high speed] is not a study . It is a realization . We will make the investment and we will complete it in 2032. And we believe that Spain will have completed the investment on the Spanish side by then”, stated Minister Miguel Pinto Luz, in Vigo, where he participated in the Conectando el Noroeste meeting, promoted by the Pontevedra Business Confederation, and which was also attended by the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda Valenzuela.

With the completion of the high-speed link, the North of Portugal and Galicia will have a “unique geostrategic position”, he added.
