Jorge Costa died at the age of 53

Former international footballer Jorge Costa died this Tuesday, aged 53, following a cardiorespiratory arrest, in Porto.

According to the online edition of A Bola, FC Porto's director of football had just finished speaking to SportTV when he felt unwell. He was treated on site and then transported to São João Hospital in Porto, where he remained in critical condition in intensive care until early afternoon.

The Beast , as he became known, had already suffered a heart attack in 2022.
