Portimão focuses on traditional Portuguese culture with the Folklore Festival

On Friday, August 1st, Portimão Marina is preparing to be the setting for the Portimão Folklore Festival, a cultural initiative that aims to celebrate and preserve Portuguese folk traditions through dance, music and traditional costumes.
With free entry, the event features the participation of the Ladeira do Vau Folklore Ranch and the Figueira Folklore Ranch, as well as the Samora e Passado Ethnographic Group (Samora Correia) and the Saia Rodada Typical Ranch (Benavente), providing the public with a show of great ethnographic richness.
The organization is in charge of the Folklore Groups of Ladeira do Vau and Figueira and the Portimão City Council , with the support of the Portimão Marina .
This event is part of the municipal strategy to promote intangible cultural heritage, promoting local identity and exchange between cultural groups, in a celebration that unites tradition and community in a privileged setting by the sea.
