São Jacinto hosts the 3rd stage of the “Junior Tour Sub/20”

The sea at São Jacinto beach is the stage, today and tomorrow, for the third stage of the National Junior Surf Circuit (Under/20), where the main national surfers will be competing. The Aveiro stage of what is considered the most important national competition in this category, and which promises to be highly competitive, has a special symbolism as it coincides with the celebration of International Surfing Day, celebrated today and which marks the summer solstice. “The ocean needs more friends!” is also the motto of this celebration, reinforcing surfing’s commitment to preservation and highlighting the role of the surfing community in promoting environmental, sporting and cultural values.
The Aveiro stage is organized by the São Jacinto-Aveiro High Performance Surfing Center and the São Jacinto Sports and Cultural Association, with the support of the Aveiro City Council, National Surfers Association, Sports Foundation, Portuguese Surfing Federation, Aveiro Nautical Station and São Jacinto Parish Council.
