VRSA: Help for man in difficulty on Monte Gordo beach

Following an alert received at 4:20 pm, through the lifeguard on duty at the beach, informing that a man had ingested a large amount of water and was in difficulty, members of the "SeaWatch" Project, as well as the Vila Real de Santo António Fire Department ( VRSA ) and INEM, immediately went to the location.
Upon arrival at the scene, it was found that the victim had been removed from the water by the lifeguards on duty, who promptly assisted the man until the arrival of members of the "SeaWatch" project, who stabilized the victim and administered oxygen.
The man was removed from the sand, using the Amarok vehicle, to the INEM Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance, which transported him to a hospital unit.
