War closed!

We have had open war, now we have closed war. It was clear that Iran was running out of oxygen — missiles to fire — and the American bombings of nuclear uranium enrichment sites revealed Tehran's total inability to respond to all the attacks.
Without an effective air force and with very few missile interception systems, Israel was weakening the regime, in the eyes of everyone — friends and enemies alike — and the gesture of force by the United States, the only one that possesses conventional mega-bombs, quickly led to the conclusion that Khamenei needed to put an end to the war.
The Iranian regime has made many boasts, based on the idea that it has a powerful military, in particular an elite Revolutionary Guard, but in the end it is Tehran that has given the impression that it wants an urgent truce to avoid further damage to the regime. The military beheading was perhaps the most decisive moment for Tehran to realize that nothing was safe.
The successive deaths of high-ranking military officers — something that had already happened with Hezbollah — caused the greatest fear of all: Israel and the US knew, in detail, where everyone was. This constitutes an unsustainable vulnerability for a regime that existed to scare everyone. Weak, insecure and defeated, Iran called for an end to the military confrontation. It may reappear, but without strength or credibility.
For once, Trump pulled a rabbit out of his hat. He managed to do what seemed impossible – to calm two beasts, or one and a half – and the ceasefire was unequivocally due to him and the influence he has on the Israeli government and prime minister. All that remains is to try to end the war in Ukraine. It is time!
