Wellington brightened up the presentation

Wellington brightened up the presentation

The "Valentes Transmontanos" (Brave Transmontanos) introduced themselves to their fans by defeating Vitória de Guimarães and winning the first Francisco Carvalho Trophy. With two goals, Wellington Carvalho was the star of the match that concluded the preseason for both teams.

Filipe Martins fielded a starting eleven similar to the one that will start the competition, while Luís Pinto fielded a team with some second-string players, which is also related to the fact that the conquerors had faced the Spanish side Celta de Vigo the day before.

The Trás-os-Montes side lined up with a three-man central midfielder and demonstrated excellent organization from the start. The first sign of danger came from Wellington Carvalho (3), who fired a first-time shot from Aaron Romero's cross, forcing goalkeeper Juan Castilho into a superb save.
