Young man found dead in the Sousa Pinto neighborhood in Coimbra

A 21-year-old man was found dead this morning in the Sousa Pinto neighborhood in Coimbra.

According to what was possible to determine, “it was an eight-meter fall, on Calçada Martim de Freitas, involving a 21-year-old man”.

At the scene were members of the VMER, who confirmed the death at the scene, the Coimbra Firefighters and Volunteers, and the PSP, who took charge of the incident.

The circumstances of the accident are not yet known.

According to a source from the Coimbra Volunteer Fire Department, “a team was called to the scene to clear the road after the body was removed.”

Contacted by DIÁRIO AS BEIRAS, the Coimbra PSP said that for clarification, it was necessary to send an email to official channels.
