Ambassador Cortese launches 'Na Praia' festival dedicated to Italy

Ambassador Alessandro Cortese inaugurated the event to present the partnership between the diplomatic headquarters and the 2025 edition of the "Na Praia Festival" in the "Sala Nervi" of the Italian Embassy in Brasilia, with the presence of journalists and authorities.
Representing the Government of the Federal District, the Secretary of International Relations, Paco Britto, and the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Claudio Abrantes, were present.
"Na Praia" is one of the most anticipated events in the federal capital. With concerts, cultural presentations, sports, leisure and gastronomy, the festival lasts three months, from the end of June to mid-September, and each edition pays homage to a country.
This year, the theme is Italy: the scenography will be entirely inspired by its architectural beauty, culture and lifestyle.
In recent months, thanks to the collaboration with Enit (the Italian National Tourism Agency), the Embassy organized a mission to Italy for the "Na Praia" team. The trip, with a very rich itinerary from north to south of the country, was designed for the festival's architects and designers, who had the opportunity to capture countless inspirations up close - from the Amalfi Coast to Venice, via Rome, Tuscany, Liguria, Milan and Verona - and experience true Italian style firsthand.
In his speech, the Ambassador said he was proud that Italy had been chosen as the theme for this year's edition. "It was a pleasure to work with the team of extraordinary professionals at R2, which organizes the Festival, and to contribute to the creation of an environment rich in cultural, decorative and design elements that convey, as faithfully as possible, the sensations and emotions of our Bel Paese," said Cortese.
The partnership between the Embassy and the R2 team aims to convey to the hundreds of thousands of visitors to "Na Praia" - mostly young people - a vision of Italy that is as authentic as possible.
During the launch event, the presentation by Enit's representative in Brazil, Barbara Oristanio, highlighted the importance of promoting territories within the scope of grassroots tourism. The "Na Praia" team then shared their travel experience with the audience and reported on the ideas and feelings they experienced throughout the experience.
Bruno Sartório, one of the partners of Grupo R2, highlighted the importance of the Embassy and Enit hosting the festival. "Praia has the opportunity to transport the public from Brasília to other destinations, after all, culture is food for the soul," he declared.
The Creative Director of Grupo R2, Thiago Reis, emphasized that the publications about the trip to Italy broke the record for public engagement on social media. He took the opportunity to present the concept, part of the festival's stage structure and the event's attractions to the guests.
With more than 70 musical attractions, the ninth edition of the "Na Praia Festival" brings an extensive and star-studded list of national artists, which includes Gusttavo Lima , Caetano Veloso, Pabllo Vittar , Jorge e Mateus, Alceu Valença, Baco Exu do Blues, Leci Brandão, Zé Ramalho, among many other names. .
