August is synonymous with the Comedy Festival in Portimão

For the fifth consecutive year, Humor.PTM – Portimão Comedy Festival promises to guarantee lots of laughter during the month of August in the large auditorium of TEMPO – Portimão Municipal Theater, with the participation of Herman José and some of the best-known representatives of national stand-up , without forgetting the homegrown talent , always with performances scheduled for 10 pm.

The program for the fifth edition of Humor.PTM opens with the Portuguese magazine «Já nem o Mexilhão tem Cabelo», which can be seen on the evenings of August 15th and 16th.

With original texts and lyrics by Carlos Pacheco, this magazine with humorous political and social criticism will be portrayed on stage with the best cast ever: Carlos Pacheco, Telma Brazona, Filipa Goulart, Isa de Brito, Marcos André, Catarina Duarte, Mariana Jobling, Maria Martins, Jenifer Novais, Rita Ferreira and Leonor Mitelo.

After the initial proposal, Humor.PTM will continue with shows scheduled for August 22, 23, 29 and 30, hosted by comedian Mário Falcão.

On the evening of August 22, the stage will be occupied by Herman José, a major name in Portuguese humor and a key figure in Portuguese television and popular culture, with a career that spans generations.

Accompanying him will be Eduardo Marques, a comedian who humorously calls himself "the new Herma," in a performance where the past and present of Portuguese comedy meet on the same stage.

For August 23rd, the choice fell on Pedro Teixeira da Mota, one of the most influential names of the new generation of comedy in Portugal, who has won over audiences with his personal style and disconcerting storytelling .

He will be accompanied by André Pinheiro, a rising comedian known for his energy on stage and critical perspective on everyday life.

Gilmário Vemba, a master of sharp and unmistakable humor, will present a show full of funny stories and quick jokes on the evening of August 29th.

Hélder Machado joins the evening with his relaxed style and accurate observations.

Finally, on August 30th, Rui Sinel de Cordes presents «Wrong Comedy», a concept that challenges conventions and mixes different humorous formats.

The night will feature stand-up , but also space for sketch comedy , clowning and cabaret , with some surprise guests.

Tickets for each session cost between 17 and 20 euros and are available at the TEMPO ticket office or on the BOL platform.
