Aurea and Buba Espinho mark the Loulé Popular Fair

The Eng.º. Duarte Pacheco Monument and the Loulé Municipal Park will be the stage for four nights full of entertainment at the Loulé Popular Fair, between the 10th and 13th of July.

Here you will find several craft and gastronomy exhibitors, children's entertainment tents with various games and inflatables and even musical performances on the stage installed in the venue.

The aim is to rescue old memories of Loulé, in an event that took place in the old Quinta do Pombal (in the years 1946/52), and which was resumed at the beginning of the 21st century.

At the start of the event, Thursday, June 10, from 7:30 pm, there will be a performance by the dance group Urban Xpression.

At 10pm, Buba Espinho, the singer and composer from Alentejo, takes to the stage. With his unique style, he is one of the main representatives of traditional music in Portugal. Mixing classic genres such as Cante and Fado with urban and pop sounds, he has created his own sound that has won fans all over the country.

On Friday, the 11th, at 8 pm, there will be a dance workshop with the Rancho Folclórico de Loulé and in the evening, from 9 pm onwards, there will be entertainment with a dance with Emanuel and Tânia.

AGAL – Loulé Friends Group Association promotes another edition, the 45th, of the Loulé Folklore Festival.

In this sense, from 9 pm, five groups will perform on stage to bring the ethnographic tradition: Loulé Folklore Group – Loulé, Stª Maria do Olival Dance and Song Folklore Group – Gaia, São Pedro da Cova Folklore and Ethnographic Group – Gondomar, Stª Cruz Folklore Group – Vila Meã – Amarante and Peralva Peasants Folklore Group – Tomar.

At the closing of the Feira Popular de Loulé, Sunday, at 10 pm, there will be a concert with Aurea.

Aurea is one of the most successful and popular artists in the Portuguese music scene. Throughout her 11-year career, she has won over the national public with her presence, charisma and unmistakable voice.

To date, she has two gold records, one platinum record and one double platinum record. In addition to a Golden Globe for “Best Individual Performer”, Aurea was the big winner of the “Best Portuguese Act” award from MTV Portugal for two consecutive years.

It should be noted that, during these days, Your Own Personal DJ's, Palhaça Pirulita and Luzatripp will be livening up the venue.

The Loulé Popular Fair takes place at the following times: from 7:00 pm to midnight (Thursday and Sunday) and from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am (Friday and Saturday), and entry is free.
