Café-bookstore Pela Estrada Fora welcomes writer Ana Martins

Today, from 4 pm, the first of this commitment will take place, “marking a new stage in the history of Pela Estrada Fora, that of cultural meetings”, Mathieu da Silva, the Portuguese descendant responsible for the space, told Diário de Aveiro.

Ana Martins talks about decades of books and readings Writer Ana Martins is the guest at the session, which is open to everyone, and will present her various published books and talk a little about each one of them. “This is the café-bookstore’s first event and it was important to start with someone who lives in Aveiro,” added Mathieu da Silva, hoping that the public will come, enjoy it and become regulars at this and other types of events that he intends to promote in the future.

Bookstore is a «living being» “My café-bookshop is like a living being whose appearance evolves over time, like a caterpillar entering its chrysalis to transform into a beautiful butterfly. Or even like a human being. Deep down, it’s a part of me — so we grow together,” he adds, adding that he makes it evolve in several ways, namely, “with all the events that come up, from book presentations to evening reading sessions, including quiz nights...”.
