Gala das Escolíadas Glicínias Plaza fills Cineteatro Messias

With a full house, the event highlighted the talent, creativity and commitment of hundreds of young people who, throughout the school year, participated in the various stages of the Escolíadas.
Participants' efforts recognized
The ceremony was marked by the presentation of awards to the participating schools, distinguishing the best in various artistic categories, such as Best Theatre Performer, Best Dance Performer, Best Voice, Best Musician, Best Presenter and Best Cheerleader, awarded to each of the competing schools. In addition, awards were also given to the best artistic performances and participation trophies, recognizing the work and dedication of students and teachers.
The evening was enlivened by artistic performances by some of the schools present, in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing of talent. The event was also attended by several institutional entities and partners, highlighting the relevance and impact of the Schools on the comprehensive education of young people and on the cultural panorama of the region.
Among the interventions, Hugo Silva, councillor of the Mealhada Municipal Council, highlighted the project as a true example of community unity, stating that the Escolíadas “celebrate a path of happiness, growth and learning”. Bruno Ribau, representing the Municipal Council of Ílhavo, reinforced the importance of the continued support of schools, highlighting the role of the Escolíadas in the education of young people.
Paula Silvestre, from CIM Região de Coimbra, praised the project’s ability to constantly reinvent itself, highlighting the impact of the skills acquired by the young participants. Diogo Filipe, General Director of Glicínias Plaza, a partner of the event for 15 years, expressed his pride in the joint journey, highlighting “the energy, commitment and creativity of the young artists”.
Sandra Lopes, from CCDRC, also considered the experience “enriching and truly spectacular”, while Helena Cardoso, from DGEstE, highlighted the importance of balancing school life and the artistic aspect, highlighting the fundamental role of teachers and families.
