Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne dies at 76

British singer and songwriter John Michael Osbourne, better known as Ozzy Osbourne, died this Tuesday (22), aged 76.
Frontman of the band Black Sabbath and one of heavy metal's greatest legends, the musician faced several health issues in recent years, including several surgeries and a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. However, the cause of his death was not disclosed.
"It is with more sadness than mere words can express that we have to inform you that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away. He was with his family and surrounded by love," the singer's family said.
Osbourne, known as the "Prince of Darkness," died less than three weeks after retiring from the stage. On July 5, the artist performed in England for the last time alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates, a performance he hadn't performed since 2005. The farewell show also featured Metallica and Guns N' Roses.
Alongside Black Sabbath, Osbourne became famous with songs like "Paranoid" and "Master of Reality." After leaving the group in 1979, the lead singer also enjoyed great success in his solo career, notable for the songs "Crazy Train" and "No More Tears."
