Last Resonance with the Italian duo Tristan da Cunha

On stage, and in an intimate way, will be the Tristan da Cunha project, in the unique Cinema Secreto of the VIC Aveiro Arts House. Hailing from Pavia, Italy, the duo composed of Francesco Vara (guitar) and Luca Scotti (drums) presents an immersive and exploratory sound proposal, situated between “post-rock”, “drone” and ambient music. «More than a concert, it is a deep and immersive listening experience, where sound is revealed in layers of texture, silence and frequency», says VIC. With an approach that fuses experimental recording techniques with an almost cinematic sensibility, Tristan da Cunha takes the audience through soundscapes where the familiar becomes strange and the everyday takes on a new auditory dimension. His latest work, “Hidden Sea”, released by Dissipatio, explores precisely these “hidden” frequencies, recorded from percussive elements and processed to reveal a submerged ocean of hidden resonances and harmonies.
The name of the project refers to one of the most remote and inhospitable islands on the planet, and this feeling of isolation and deep contemplation is also reflected in the duo's music. Their performance in Aveiro will be "a rare opportunity to experience this sound journey in close proximity to the artists".
