Popular Saints of Albufeira pass through all parishes

The festivities associated with the Popular Saints in Albufeira begin with the celebration of Saint Anthony's Day, Friday, June 13, and it is with this in mind that the local authority has prepared several initiatives in different locations in the municipality.
As tradition dictates, the festival program includes several festivals and popular marches.
For José Carlos Rolo, Mayor of Albufeira , it is important to “properly celebrate what is an important time for our people”.
The mayor also invites all residents to participate in the activities.
In the city of Albufeira, the highlight is the «Arraial do Mercado», an initiative that takes place at the Mercado Municipal dos Caliços, and promises moments of great fun.
The program includes a performance by Nuno Balbino and a moment dedicated to the Marchas Populares de Paderne, in an event organized by the municipality of Albufeira, in partnership with local associations, on June 13, starting at 6 pm.
The city is also planning to celebrate the Popular Saints at the Fire Station. Organised by the Humanitarian Association of the Volunteer Firefighters of Albufeira , the festivities are scheduled for the 14th, 21st and 28th of June, the same days that Largo das Ferreiras will host the festivities promoted by the Parish Council .
In Guia, the Popular Saints are celebrated today with a festival at the Guia Market, which includes a concert by Roberto Bernardino, with parades of the Popular Marches of the Casa do Povo de Paderne and the Marcha de Tunes, as well as a display of local crafts.
The start of the festivities, promoted by the Parish Council , is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
In the parish of Paderne, the highlight will be a meeting of popular marches, promoted by the Casa do Povo de Paderne. The initiative will take place on June 19th, starting at 8:00 pm, and will bring together groups from Estômbar, Tunes and Paderne.
The Popular Saints festivities will continue throughout the month of June and the planned initiatives are expected to bring thousands of people to the streets of Albufeira.
