Portimão returns to promote the «InDireita Street Fest» this year with parkour

Portimão is preparing for another edition of the «InDireita Street Fest», an event that has already become a landmark in the city's cultural calendar and which, since its inception, has attracted many visitors to one of the main arteries of the urban centre of Portimão.

The 4th edition of this festival, organized by the POIS! Association (Palco das Ondas Invisíveis Studio), with the support of the Municipal Council and the Parish Council of Portimão , takes place on Sunday, June 29th, from 2:00 pm to midnight.

In this context, Rua Direita is once again closed to traffic throughout the day and the public space is returned to the people, to promote a happy, relaxed and community-sharing atmosphere, with the spirit that also marked previous editions as a backdrop.

In addition to an open-air street market with stalls selling second-hand items, crafts and local products, the organization has also prepared a diverse program that is accessible to everyone.

Live art and street performances, various workshops , food and drink from local producers and chefs , interactive activities and games are also a constant throughout the day.

Musical entertainment will be another strong point with performances by the band Manga Limão, Peyoti For President, Jahck and the Wav and Pineapple Express.

In turn, one of the big novelties of this edition is the presence of the Parkour Algarve collective, which will present this activity, but also a surprise intervention, prepared specifically for this event, by Architecture students from the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes ( ISMAT ).

The “InDireita Street Fest” celebrates creativity, sharing and the positive use of urban space, inviting people to rediscover the city and one of its most emblematic streets in a participatory way. It is, therefore, a faithful portrayal of the objective for which this association was created.

With free entry, all activities at this event are open to the public.
