Selection for Tiramisù Cup begins in Brazil this Saturday

The city of Bento Gonçalves, in Rio Grande do Sul, hosted this Saturday (24) the first stage of the Tiramisù World Cup Brazil 2025 (TWC Brasil), the national version of the traditional Italian tournament that seeks to elect the best tiramisù in the world.

The competition is divided into two elimination rounds, with the winners of each round facing off in the final. Entry is free to the public, who can cheer and sample portions of the dessert for sale on site.

The champion of the Rio Grande do Sul stage of the event will earn a place in the national final, which will be held on October 28, in Campinas (SP).

The first three stages of the selection process will take place in person between May and June in Bento Gonçalves (RS), Rio de Janeiro and Vitória (ES). In all of these cities, competitors will only be evaluated in the "Original Recipe" category, that is, the one that includes the classic tiramisù ingredients: mascarpone, egg yolks, savoiardi biscuits, coffee, sugar and cocoa.

The big winner and representative of Brazil in the world competition, in Italy, in October, will come from the capital of São Paulo.
