The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) decided on Tuesday, the 24th, to revoke the Air Operator Certificate (COA) of Passaredo Transportes Aéreos, the main company of the Voepass group . The measure, according to the agency, definitively ends the company's operations, which had already been suspended since March, after a history of serious failures in maintenance procedures.

In addition to the revocation, the company also received financial sanctions totaling R$570.4 thousand. The decision will not be subject to further appeal.

Anac's investigation began after an accident involving one of the company's aircraft in August 2024, in the city of Vinhedo (SP). Since then, the company has operated under a reinforced inspection regime, the so-called "assisted operation", which closely monitored the fleet's internal maintenance and inspection processes.

According to the agency, during this monitoring, recurring failures were found in mandatory inspections, items that need to be double-checked by different professionals to ensure the safety of the aircraft before it can fly again. Passaredo managed to correct some points after warnings, but repeated irregularities in other aircraft and maintenance tasks.

According to Anac's assessment, the company's internal supervision systems have lost reliability, indicating structural flaws in safety controls. According to the agency, this situation made it impossible to continue operations within the standards required for civil air transport in the country.

In a statement, Anac stressed that the withdrawal of the certificate is an extreme measure, but necessary to guarantee the protection of passengers and the integrity of the aviation sector. The Air Operator Certificate is the document that attests to the technical capacity and compliance of a company with the safety and operation standards in force in civil aviation.
