Petrobras' profit grows 23% to R$ 32.7 billion in the 3rd quarter.

Petrobras announced on Thursday evening, October 6th, that it had a net profit of 32.7 billion reais in the third quarter of 2025. Profit for the period is 23% higher than the previous quarter. .
According to the company, the result was driven by oil and gas production of 3.14 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. The company also stated that this operational performance led the state-owned company to record an operating cash flow of 53.7 billion reais (9.9 billion dollars).
"The results were also favored by a slight increase in the price of oil compared to the last quarter," the company pointed out in a statement. "Petrobras is generating positive financial results and returns for its shareholders, even in the face of the new level of oil prices," said the CFO and Investor Relations Director, Fernando Melgarejo.
According to Petrobras' announcement, the director believes there has been an increase in efficiency and a reduction in production stoppages. He also highlighted that the company reached peak production at the Almirante Tamandaré Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit and exceeded its nominal capacity.
"There are several areas of work that translate into concrete results for the company, its shareholders, and Brazilian society," he reflected.
Petrobras reported that, considering the first nine months of 2025, it collected almost 200 billion reais in taxes for Brazilian society. "12.16 billion reais in dividends and interest on equity were approved for the period," the company stated in a note.
Petrobras assures that the largest share of investments is in the "exploration and production" segment, focusing on developing production in the pre-salt layer, with progress in the construction of new units for the Búzios, Atapu, and Sépia fields.
