Revenue releases consultation on the 3rd batch of refunds this Thursday 24th

This Thursday (24), starting at 10 am, the Federal Revenue Service will release the consultation for the third of the five batches of refunds of the 2025 Personal Income Tax. It is the largest batch in history in number of taxpayers and the second largest in value - around 7.2 million taxpayers will receive a total amount of R$ 10 billion. The batch also includes residual refunds from previous years.

The IRS reported that most of the amount will go to taxpayers with priority for reimbursement. The refunds are distributed as follows:

6,316,894 taxpayers who used the pre-filled declaration and/or simultaneously opted to receive the refund via Pix; 755,978 taxpayers without priority; 83,575 taxpayers aged 60 to 79; 35,315 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching; 15,988 taxpayers over 80 years old;

11,298 taxpayers with physical or mental disabilities or serious illness.

Although they are not given priority by law, taxpayers who used two procedures together, pre-filled and Pix, now have priority in receiving their refund this year.

The query can be made on the Federal Revenue Service's website. Taxpayers simply click on "My Income Tax" and then the "Check Refund" button. It is also possible to check the refund on the Federal Revenue Service's app for tablets and smartphones.

Payment will be made on July 31st to the account or Pix key of the CPF type provided on the Income Tax return. If the taxpayer is not on the list, they must access the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and obtain the statement. If there is a pending issue, they can submit a corrective return and wait for the next batches of tax assessments.
