All About Megan Thee Stallion’s Ex-Boyfriend, Torrey Craig

Megan Thee Stallion has been fairly private about her romantic life since breaking up with songwriter Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine. Megan initially met Fontaine while working on her “Savage” remix with Beyoncé, then confirmed their romance in 2021.

The pair split in 2023, after which the rapper was rumored to be dating Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku. Megan and Lukaku were spotted together at his teammate’s wedding that May but never confirmed their connection. A little more than year later, Megan was linked to basketball player Torrey Craig in summer 2024.

Megan has seemingly commented on her relationship with Fontaine, with fans speculating her song “Cobra” detailed their issues. She has kept her recent romances out of her music though...at least for now.

Here’s what is known about Torrey Craig and his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion so far.

Torrey Craig was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and raised in a small town called Rock Hill by his parents, Johnny Craig and Teresa Mays. He went on to play college basketball at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, according to a 2015 interview with Stuff. Craig graduated with a degree in communications. He entered the NBA draft after graduation and said that he knew his chances were slim.

“Only 60 players get called so it’s really hard,” he said. “I was disappointed, but I wasn't surprised, I kind of knew I wouldn’t get drafted.”

Craig still maintains a connection to South Carolina. In 2023, Great Falls named a street after him. The event was in conjunction with “Torrey Craig Day,” which was used to raise money to support the Torrey Craig Foundation. Per its website, the organization is “committed to empowering at-risk children by offering crucial resources and dedicating time to their well-being, ultimately enhancing their chances of achieving success.”

After his first NBA draft attempt, the basketball player headed to Australia and New Zealand where he played for the NBL for a number of years. But he returned and joined the NBA in 2017 with the Denver Nuggets for the organization’s summer league, per NBA.com. He went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, and the Indiana Pacers. Craig started playing for the Chicago Bulls in 2023 as a small forward, then signed with the Boston Celtics in February 2025.

Craig doesn’t share much about his personal life, but he does have one son, Braylon, born in 2014.

In August 2024, the rapper shared a clip of herself with Craig on her public TikTok account, seemingly by accident. In the now-deleted video, the pair laid in bed together and answered a series of questions known as the “couples challenge” about their relationship

One of the questions was about who said “I love you” first, and they both pointed at one another.

In September 2024, they were photographed out together during New York Fashion Week, appearing to hold hands and share an intimate conversation. In January 2025, a mirror selfie taken by Megan with Craig in it spread on social media. That same month, Craig shared a photo of Megan in his Instagram Stories, showing her standing in a mirrored hallway full of lights.
