Away from TV, Fátima Bernardes reveals fear

After a solid career on broadcast television, Fátima Bernardes has yet to decide if or when she will return to a regular project on television. The journalist, who hosted the program "Encontro" for almost a decade on Globo, admitted that there is no plan for a new project in the traditional format, even after having recently recorded a pilot. According to her, the material was well received, but it is not expected to come to fruition until 2025.
Currently, Fátima focuses her efforts on producing content on social media and on her YouTube channel. With over 13 million followers, she shares aspects of her personal and professional life, reaching a new audience and strengthening her bond with those who have followed her since her days as an anchor on "Jornal Nacional", a role she held for 14 years.
In fact, the communicator has taken advantage of this moment to explore other forms of expression, although still with reservations. When asked about the possibility of writing a book, Fátima revealed insecurity about the idea.
"I've never written, I'm very afraid of that. I think one of the biggest forms of exposure we have is when we write a book. I don't feel ready for that yet, but who knows one day," she said, during an interview with RedeTV!.
Even outside the main television circuit, Fátima participated in debates such as the Rio Book Biennial, alongside names such as Gabriela Prioli and Leandro Karnal. On the occasion, she discussed the formation of reading habits and the importance of book clubs, highlighting her search for projects that involve reflection and the exchange of experiences.
Regarding the possibility of an immediate return to television, Fátima was categorical: "It won't happen this year. It won't! I don't know what's coming, but the pilot was very well evaluated", she said, also highlighting that she misses the routine on open TV, although she still doesn't feel ready for a new fixed challenge in this format.
