Clara, André Coelho's wife, explains her decision about the couple's dogs

Clara Maia and André Coelho, a couple formed after appearing on the reality show "De Férias com o Ex," share custody of two pit bulls, Tibau and Tita. The animals have lived with the family for over eight years and have been a constant presence in the couple's publications.
Currently, the two influencers are parents to João and José, one-year-old twins, and are awaiting the birth of two more children, also boys.
Change in behavior and decision to leave
In recent weeks, Clara has noticed an increase in risky incidents involving the dogs. According to the influencer herself, the pit bulls have begun displaying aggressive behavior toward children and professionals who frequent the home.
"Dangerous things have been happening. Accidents, including the one where I tore my ligament. They've started acting strangely and dangerously. And I can't put other people at risk. Not even the babies."
Faced with this situation, the couple decided to take the animals to a specialized boarding facility, where they had been accustomed since they were puppies. Clara explained that she considered installing a kennel in her own home, but preferred to keep the animals in a spacious, familiar environment:
"We sent them to a hotel, which is a place they know and love. They have a huge space."
Family safety as a priority
The decision was made to protect the physical safety of her children and the household staff. Clara admitted that the separation was emotionally difficult: "It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, being away from them. It's been really hard."
Still, she reaffirms that responsibility for the lives in her care prevented her from taking risks: "I can't expose people to possible accidents. Because these fatalities happen when the signs are ignored."
Adoption is not ruled out, but it is unlikely
According to the influencer, the animals were trained more than once and even received cannabidiol treatments to control their aggression. Even so, maintaining a routine with the children proved unfeasible.
Regarding a possible new home, Clara stated: "I think it's difficult for anyone to want that responsibility as well. They are two huge dogs, who are reactive with other dogs. The person has to know how to handle them."
Previous accident involving employee
In addition to the animals' recent behavior, another incident fueled the family's fears. Months ago, a painter was attacked by the same dogs during construction work on the house. The worker required medical attention and accused André Coelho of failing to offer assistance, in addition to reporting threats from an intermediary. At the time, the influencer denied the allegations and claimed to have provided the necessary support.
Current situation of dogs
Currently, Tibau and Tita remain housed on a farm with infrastructure dedicated to animal welfare. The facility is managed by a trusted trainer and veterinarian, with whom the family maintains frequent contact.
Clara emphasized: "I know they will be well taken care of, I know them, I have access, I feel safer."
