How RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp Knew Her Boyfriend Was the One for Her
Teddi Mellencamp is head over heels for her new mystery man.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum gave fans a glimpse at her romance with her new boyfriend—whom she has not named publicly—describing how she knew she’d met her perfect match.
“He is really sweet and kind,” the 43-year-old said during the June 20 episode of her and Erika Jayne’s Diamonds in the Rough podcast. “He came and picked us up this week from the show, and he could tell that I was down. He sat and watched one million hours of horse show rounds. He’s just a good guy.”
The reality star, who is battling stage 4 cancer, further explained that she gave her boyfriend the option to tap out of the relationship if her hectic schedule became too much for him, though he has yet to take her up on the offer.
“If for some reason you realize you need somebody that doesn’t have three kids, one million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I’m able to give? I would not be mad at you for not even a second,” she continued. “He’s like, ‘I am willing to do anything to be able to spend time with you.’”
Teddi—who shares kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, with ex Eddie Arroyave—first disclosed the new relationship earlier this month, revealing that her new suitor is unmarried and has no children of his own. However, she did note that they had a conversation about how much of their romance she would share publicly, given that he’s a “very private person.”
“I asked him, ‘Do I even say your name?’” Teddi recalled on the June 3 episode of her and Tamra Judge’s Two Ts In a Pod podcast. “He’s like, ‘It’s really whatever you want to do, I know you’re a public person.’”
But Teddi doesn’t appear to be sweating the small stuff when she’s found the most important qualities of all.
“He’s very kind to me,” she gushed, adding, “He’s taking good care of me.”

The family of five enjoy a day of fun at Disneyland and California Adventure with friends in June 2024. "They say it’s a small world," Teddi wrote on Instagram, "but my feet say otherwise."
"I needed this," Teddi captioned a pic with her youngest. "Thank you."
"When you jump to a 90 at Junior Hunter Finals at 11-years-old… and WIN the Classic Stake!!" Teddi posted in July 2024 while celebrating her oldest child's major milestone. "So proud."
"I cried because…?" Teddi wrote on Instagram in August 2024. "1. I’m going to miss them. 2. They’re getting older which means I am too. 3. I can actually work in peace throughout the day. 4. A combination of all the above."
The family honors Teddi's dad, music legend John Mellencamp, in October 2024.
"Happy birthday, Dads," she wrote. "It was a gift to be able to spend time with you at the @capitalchallengehorseshow over the weekend. But the last slide is really the gift that keeps on giving. Love you, @johnmellencamp."
Slate, Dove and Cruz enjoy a day with grandpa.
"Grandpa is 93 and he still will get picked before me for teams in our family football game," the Bravo alum shared on Instagram. "But I think the even bigger discourse in the fam is pumpkin or apple pie. Which do you prefer?"
Teddi celebrates Thanksgiving 2024 with her three kids.
"The North Pole comes to SoCal!" Teddi shared with a festive photo.
"Raise your hand if you don’t realize you are celebrating the ball drop at 9PM PST," Teddi shared on New Year's Eve in 2024. "Who lets their kiddos stay up until midnight local time on NYE (and how do you do it)?"
"Happy birthday to my miracle baby," the Two T's in a Pod cohost wrote in February 2025. "Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since you made our lives better and brighter. But no matter how grown you get, you’ll always be My Baby Dovey."
