Murilo Huff reveals the reason behind the legal dispute over custody of his son with Marília Mendonça

Murilo Huff has decided to speak out publicly about the delicate legal dispute involving the custody of Leo , the son he had with singer Marília Mendonça . On Monday night, the 23rd, the country singer made a statement on social media and stated that he made the decision to request unilateral custody for serious reasons, reinforcing that the priority is the child's well-being.

According to the artist, who is fighting a legal battle against his ex-mother-in-law, Dona Ruth , Leo spends time with him and his family every day. "In the last year I've done an average of 13 shows a month, of which I've gone out at night for more than 50% and slept at home. My son spends time with me and my family every day," he said, justifying his close bond with the 5-year-old boy.

Furthermore, Murilo made it clear that he never intended to separate his son from his maternal family, but that, after discovering certain information — which he cannot disclose because it is under court seal — he felt he needed to act. "I am not asking for sole custody without reason. I have evidence, but unfortunately I cannot reveal it. I am doing this for a greater good: my son," the singer declared, asking the public not to judge him without knowing the whole story.

Gabriela Versiani , influencer and current girlfriend of the singer, also came to her beloved's defense. She stated that she believes Marília would be proud of Murilo's stance.
