Rafael Ilha responds to criticism after criticizing the funeral and saying that Preta Gil 'wasn't a top Brazilian singer': 'I don't care'

Rafael Ilha , former member of the group Polegar , provoked a strong reaction on social media after criticizing the funeral of Preta Gil at the Municipal Theater in Rio de Janeiro, last Friday (25). The ceremony, open to the public, brought together family, friends and hundreds of fans who came to say goodbye to the singer , who died on Sunday (20), at the age of 50, due to cancer.
During his appearance on the Chupim program, on Metropolitana FM radio, on Wednesday (23), Rafael Ilha made comments that were harshly rejected by the public. "I think the Municipal Theater is an exaggeration, I'm sorry. She wasn't a top Brazilian singer, she wasn't a singer who was very successful, nothing like that. It's very pretentious," he said.
In addition to criticizing the location chosen for the ceremony, a request made during Preta Gil's lifetime, Rafael publicly questioned the artist's net worth. "Where does R$340 million come from, man, if she wasn't a great actress or a great singer? 'Oh, she was a partner at Mynd, which was an advertising company.' Wow, cool… R$340 million," he said. "A lot of money… There's a lot to explain. Yeah, a lot. Now there's no way to explain it anymore, but it's a lot of money, right?" he added.
However, according to the Folha Econômica portal, the inheritance left by Preta is between R$20 and R$30 million , values much lower than those mentioned by the former singer.
Contacted by Fábia Oliveira's column after the negative repercussion of his statements, Rafael Ilha maintained his stance...
