SBT regrets and fires presenter after 1 month

SBT has officially fired Felipe Macedo, known as Macedão da Chinelada, one month after he was hired to host the new version of the program Aqui Agora. The departure occurred before his effective debut on the national broadcaster, and is due to the uncertainty and subsequent suspension of the journalistic project planned for the late afternoons.
Without a defined role after the newscast was postponed, the contract was terminated discreetly, without an official announcement directly from the channel.
Unsuccessful test on It's Time
While he was waiting for the premiere of Aqui Agora, the presenter participated in an edition of Tá na Hora, on June 9, alongside Daniele Brandi. However, the one-day performance was harshly criticized by the public on social media. The negative reception was attributed to the journalist's performance style, his forced tone of voice and the lack of harmony with his colleague on the panel.
The improvised performance, which had no clear justification from SBT, created even more confusion among viewers. The channel claimed it was a one-off appearance, while Macedo himself said he asked to leave because he could not adapt to the format.
"When I appeared there next to Dani Brandi, the internet went down. Everyone said it was Macedão's fault for everything," he said in an interview with Massa FM. "I was more disoriented than a deaf person at bingo," he added, in a tone of venting.
Return to Londrina after direct intervention
Later, Felipe Macedo announced on his Instagram profile that he is back in charge of Tribuna da Massa, on TV Cidade, an affiliate of SBT in Londrina. The return was made possible by a personal request from businessman and communicator Carlos Massa, known as Ratinho.
"The people asked and we listened. Macedão is a heritage of Paraná", stated Ratinho, justifying the reinstatement.
In the post, the presenter celebrated his return and promised to reconnect with viewers in the region: "Stronger, more mature and thirsty for audiences, Macedão promises to reconnect directly with the people."
With his return to Paraná, Guilherme Rivaroli, who had taken over the position at Tribuna da Massa, will be transferred to TV Guará, an affiliate of the same network in Ponta Grossa. Both stations belong to Rede Massa, a group led by Ratinho.
End of the Here Now project
Macedão's departure also represented the definitive end of the relaunch of Aqui Agora. The proposal, conceived by Mauro Lissoni, was already facing internal resistance and was abandoned by the channel's leadership due to problems with acceptance and structure.
The broadcaster chose to focus its efforts on consolidating Tá na Hora, currently hosted by Daniele Brandi, despite the difficulties faced since its reformulation.
The programming overhaul that began in May did not yield the expected results. Despite last-minute schedule changes, audience ratings remain below expectations. According to Ibope data, SBT remains far from second place, currently held by Record, on average from 7 am to midnight (Brasília time).
