Vítor Rua, Tó Trips and Luís San Payo at gnration

Musicians Vítor Rua, Tó Trips and Luís San Payo will debut the show “Sweet Violence” in December, in the new season of the cultural space gnration, in Braga, which will also feature Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Stephen O'Malley.

For the last four months of 2025, now announced, grnation offers electronic, rock, post-punk, folk and digital art, with the season opening on September 13th with the Portuguese post-punk duo semivitae, in a concert that will serve to present their second album, “Canções de Danação”.

The closing, on December 12th, is with a “meeting between three unavoidable names in national music”, with Vítor Rua (GNR and Telectu), Tó Trips (Dead Combo) and Luís San Payo (Rádio Macau and Pop Dell'Arte) debuting the show “Sweet Violence”.

Between these two dates, gnration will welcome, in October, the North American producer and composer Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, the Portuguese Linda Martini and the German guitarist Raphael Roginski, in a reinterpretation of John Coltrane's repertoire.

With other concerts already announced in Portugal — in Lisbon and Penafiel —, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy will also pass through Braga, on November 9th, on a return to present the album “The Purple Bird”.

Also in November, gnration welcomes the British 'dream pop' trio Jabu, the Brazilian singer Letrux and the North American guitarist Stephen O'Malley (Sunn o)))).

In partnership with Theatro Circo, also in Braga, gnration will host the previously announced “Paraíso” cycle in September, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the independence of Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP).

Concerts by Fidju Kitxora and Banda Monte Cara are planned, as well as a screening of the film “Independência”, by Mário Bastos, also known as Fradique.

gnration's OCUPA program, dedicated to electronic music and digital art, features, among others, a show by Ana Deus with Marta Abreu and the project "Six Pairs of Consecutive Triangle Numbers" by musician Zé Figueiredo.

Associated with the "Cinex" program, Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture, gnration will feature an exhibition by Madrid-based visual artist Laura San Segundo, titled "The Bodies We Fire." The artist will be in Braga in October.
