Disagreements among Angolan elite at luxury restaurant

A love triangle between Angolan elite figures sparked altercations at the luxury restaurant JNcQUOI, located on Avenida da Liberdade, last Friday. The physical confrontations between three women, which involved shoving, hair-pulling, and required the intervention of security, resulted in the expulsion of those involved from the Lisbon restaurant, according to national and Angolan press.
It all began with the arrival of model Neurite Mendes at the JNcQUOI Avenida (Delibar) bar on Friday afternoon. The Angolan woman, who is also a television presenter, was supposed to meet her husband Wilson Ganga there in the company of another woman. Ganga is a successful businessman in Angola and the son of the chairman of the board of directors of Endiama, a state-owned diamond mining company.
The technology entrepreneur is believed to have been having an extramarital affair with one of the women involved in the physical altercation with Neurite Mendes, according to Correio da Manhã and the Angolan press. Wilson Ganga and the model, winner of the 2016 Miss Angola pageant, have been married since 2022. The young couple has two children and was on vacation in the Portuguese capital at the time of the incident, to which they have not yet publicly responded. The establishment told Observador that it will not make a statement about the incident.
